On Dec 10, the staff of Parola center conducted an Advent recollection to spiritually prepare both the learners of 4th and 5th batch, from elementary to secondary for the celebration of Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is to help them to better understand the deeper meaning of advent preparation which is “change of heart” and draw them away from that wrong notion of preparation that centers on material preparation. The attendance was quite good and the learners sat on the floor for them to be accommodated in the livelihood building. The activities were made simple because of the narrow space; the activities were as follows, drawing of expectations and understanding on what is advent, deepening of sharing, personal testimony, and concluding input which is the 10 Christmas Commandments. The last part was the drawing of realizations from some of the learners in which it came out that through the recollection, they have learned and were guided on how to prepare better for the celebration of Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, our savior.
